For all those that asked about the roster changes for this season, here is a quick summary from the CBA and COVID amendements

Roster Changes
First of all, effective with 2020, the number of game-day actives was increased to a maximum of 48 players, but if you have the maximum active, there must be eight active offensive linemen. Teams don't have to have 48 game-day actives — they may have as few as 44 players active on game day. If they have less than 48 active, they don't have to keep eight offensive linemen active.

NFL teams can carry 16 players on their practice squad, including six of the 16 slots that can be used on players of any experience level . That means experienced players across the league may end up on practice squads this season.

Teams are allowed to protect four players on the practice squad every Tuesday. For example, a team can block anyone that tries to poach one of their four 'blocked' players starting on Tuesday. For players on the practice squad, there would only be about a 36-hour window — Monday and part of Tuesday — where they can leave for an active roster spot on another team. Once the team chooses their four players, no team can sign them to their 53-man roster that week.

Two practice squad players per week may be elevated to the team’s roster, meaning game-week roster sizes could effectively increase from 53 to 55. And a player elevated from the practice squad to the 55-man roster could be sent back to the practice squad two times without having to clear waivers.

Another major change includes the injured reserve designation. An unlimited players can return from IR after three weeks.
