i like to think that bazley has some random guy he's friends with that he interned with and he texts him before the game and is like "carl, i'm so nervous about this game" and carl is like "don't worry, baz-man. you've got this! just remember everything we learned at the shoe factory" and then bazley gives a half-confident nod and hits the thumbs up on carl's text before putting his phone back in his locker next to his lucky shoe
