I have a friend who speaks Spanish and can pass for Mexican. He told me years ago of an acquaintance of his who walked in to a chicken processing plant in Arkansas and offered to work for $7 an hour. All the other American workers were making $10 an hour at the time. He told the owner he had cousins who could cross the border and were also willing to work for $7 an hour. A couple of years later every worker in the plant was an illegal alien having pushed out all the Americans one way or another. Any Mexican who complained for higher wages or better working conditions was easily replaced by another illegal eager for $7 an hour.
And this my friends is how Liberals dreamed up the slogan of: "We need them to do the work Americans won't do."
The fact is, Americans can and will do all form of work as they always have. They just won't do it for third-world slave wages and working conditions while the corporations and Congress pocket the profits.
