The practice of banning views that are opposite to those held by social media bosses who use the legal fiction of operating "private businesses" goes to the heart of free speech principles that long precede our constitution. Those leftist ideologues are, in effect, undermining constitutionally protected free speech rights that are afforded all Americans, irrespective of their political persuasion.
Social media are the modern equivalent of the public square where political debate takes place. Using the specious argument that the bosses are regulating free speech under the guise of "fighting spam" is disingenuous. In fact, what the bosses are doing is undermining constitutionally protected free speech rights, pure and simple.
