At my kids' school, the ones that have a "samsung" (ie android) get made fun of. My son had an actual samsung (GS6) for a while. His friends told him if his next phone wasn't an iphone they were going to kick him off the group chat. Sending video over MMS sucks but nobody is willing to use an alternate chat client. iMessage or die. If it were me, I would say "bye felicia" but that's not how it works with them. I suspect as they get older and start to become their own selves, they will make decisions based on usability and economics. Time will tell. Until then, you can take my Pixel 2 XL from my cold dead hands....at least until the Pixel 3 comes out. :)
