I do it because, when asked by sites that look intriguing, but that I haven’t time to peruse at that moment, I know that getting inundated with their emails will remind me (when I finally check my email) that it was a site or subject I’d like to possibly go back to - and otherwise never would - remember their site/address/or that they had material I saved for later.
