If you have separate communities, you eventually have to be able exclude others of different races if you want to maintain racial homogeneity. In a white community, that means preventing a black family, a Hispanic family or an Asian family from moving in. (It would mean precisely the same thing in any of those communities as well.) For that you need enforceable borders (think Israel). We're a long way from that, but Jared's right--we've got to start laying the groundwork and challenge the notion that diversity is desirable.

The partition of the U.S. will be impossible right up until the moment it becomes inevitable.
