I'm in recovery from a serious addiction to opiates. It's easy to just call these addicts weak or immoral, but it's not so simple. Getting off those drugs was by far the hardest thing I've ever done. The withdrawal is a kind of hell I can't explain, and the psychological and emotional recovery is just as bad as the physical and outlast it by many months. These drugs are so potent and powerful you can experience some withdrawal after just five days of use. What I'm saying is the cat is out of the bag, these drugs are here to stay and it will wreak havoc on whites, since it's our preferred drug of use over coke, crack or malt liquor.
