The Legislature is controlled by a nominally one-party super-majority, which actually consists of a marriage of convenience between the Brown Power race mafia that controls SoCal and the Bay Area Greens who are so worried about the environment they battle to Stop Everything...except for mass uncontrolled immigration. The place is now walking the plank of looming bankruptcy which is in fact baked into the fiscal cake due to the impossible demands of an out-of-control public pension system. The seismic cracks will soon erupt, I expect the "Calexit" fairy tale will morph into serious demands from the north to split the state (the south would love it but it can't live without northern water and tax base).
