This article reminded me of of a college anthropology major in the 70's who gushed on about how peaceful Native Americans were before the evil white man came along. She was taught by a liberal professor that when the Indians conducted warfare against each other, they didn't hurt each other at all, rather they would rush forward in battle to simply touch an opponent or steal a feather from their head, etc.
This was an otherwise intelligent young woman. I was speechless that she would accept something so preposterous.
