I would want voice recognition, whether though Alexa or whatever, as part of increased home integration. I want to be able to say, "Dim living room lights," "Arm the burglar alarm," or "Check whether the garage door is closed" to the air, and have the house respond. And I want all the voice recognition and processing done locally, not in the cloud, and I want some kind of privacy reassurances about what data will be passed upwards outside the house. Ideally it wouldn't even go through the router at all.
