They are diligent enough to actually contact people and respect the right of reply. They are honest enough to publicly admit when they are wrong and correct their mistakes instead of going on a massive ego trip. They cover developers and games that others would ignore for not being Triple A or being 'too indie' or 'too niche'.
The list goes on.
Kind of sad that two of the three things I listed are supposed to be the standard in the industry and yet now its so rare to see them that any site that has them is a shining light in the darkness.
