A simple study of the scriptures often clarifies things. But many Christians are too lazy to study. This author is actually wrong in his interpretation of Pslam 105:15. He has written his article on the wrong doctrine that the verse was talking about pastors or preachers or church leaders. But the verse was not refering to those group of people. All you need do is read the chapter from verse 8 and everything will be clear. Here goes...

Psalm 105:8-15 (KJV)

8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

From the passage two things are clear

1. God was speaking about the nation of Israel. He was not speaking about leaders or old testament prophets like Elijah or Jeremiah. He was refering to the whole nation. He spoke about their sorjourn and how he disallowed any nation from hurting them. And He did that by saying "Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm". The anointed there was the nation of Israel not some special few. The prophets there also refered to the whole nation of Israel, not to specific persons.

The problem is that most christians have already been indoctrinated with a false concept of church leadership. So when they read verse 15, they automatically think the prophets there refered to specially chosen few in the kingdom. But the preceeding verses show clearly that prophets there was refering to every child of God. And that is exactly how the kingdom of God is. Every convenant child of God is a prophet to the nations. The same way we are refered to in Revelations 5:20 as a kingdom of priests.

2. When God said "Touch not my anointed", he was speaking to the heathen nations, not to Israel or God's people. That command was for unbelievers. Applying it to believers is completely wrong. There is a system of discipline in God's kingdom but it isnt about "touching the anointed". Every true Christian is the anointed. In the body of Christ, if you sin or go astray, it doesnt matter how highly you think of yourself or how much anointing you claim God has poured on you, you can and should be held accountable. The bible tells us how this should be done.
